2025 Strawberry Recipe Contest – Greensboro

General Contest Rules

  1. All entries must be made with strawberries grown in North Carolina. Strawberries need to be the main ingredient and each recipe must include at least two cups of strawberries. Recipes can be entrees for breakfast, lunch or dinner; side items or desserts.
  2. Judging will be based on the use of strawberries, flavor, ease of preparation, overall appearance and creativity.
  3. Recipes become the property of the N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
  4. Recipes do not have to be original. If the recipe is not original, please include the source on your recipe.
  5. Any recipe containing raw eggs will not be judged. 

Entry Instructions

  1. All entries must be accompanied by a recipe with complete instructions. Type or write your recipe on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper with your name, address, email and telephone number listed in the upper right corner. Please note where you purchased the NC Strawberries.
  2. Recipes must be created and made at home and brought to the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market Administrative Office located at 2914 Sandy Ridge Road, Colfax, NC on the morning of the contest. The office is just past theguard gate.
  3. Recipes should be brought in disposable containers. It will not be the responsibility of the Market to return any dishes or plates. If you wish to pick up items afterwards you may do so after 2:00 p.m.
  4. One entry per person.

Day of Contest

  1. Entries will be received from 8 a.m.—10:00 a.m. at the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market Administrative Office.
  2. Judging will begin at 10:00 a.m. Prizes will be awarded at the Strawberry Day event at 12 noon.
